A Loving Journey of Paying It Forward
Meaningful things often begin with modest conversations between friends. Our story took root in 2016, when two close friends shared a heartfelt aspiration: how could we take the opportunities, lessons, and mentorship we were fortunate to receive and transform them into enduring, positive values for our communities?
At the heart of that question was a loving persistence: how could more underserved, determined children reach the first major milestone of growing into adulthood - a high school diploma? We nurtured the hope of bridging generous, compassionate hearts with diligent students who simply lacked a bit of luck - young souls who only need an outstretched hand ready to lift them up, empowering them to stay in school, cultivate knowledge, and experience life with all the innocence and purity of youth.
The name EShare was born from that vision - entrusted with the spirit of planting knowledge and growing kindness.
From modest, grassroots initiatives, EShare grew steadily over the years, sustained by genuine bonds and shared values connecting Canada and Vietnam. Along this path, providence brought us together with a Canadian university professor who holds deep faith in education, scientific research, and human development, alongside a Vietnamese-Canadian who cherishes the privilege of belonging to two nations - one his ancestral roots, and the other the welcoming soil that nurtured his growth. It was a meeting of minds and hearts, uniting academic rigor, cross-cultural empathy, and practical experience.
In 2026, marking exactly a decade since that first spark of an idea, EShare officially received its operating charter as a registered non-profit organization in Canada. This legal milestone is both a continuation and a long-term pledge to keep paying it forward.
From opening educational doors for the next generation to connecting communities and bridging age divides, we believe that knowledge and giving are at their most meaningful when shared with an open heart. Like builders of bridges, EShare is the place where we, together with our friends, practice humility - letting gratitude and kindness lead the way.
